In March 2025, the USS Hornet Museum, a National Historic Landmark in Alameda, California, hosted its annual CarrierCon ACGN (Anime, Comic, Game, Novel) convention. The official mascot Hornet Chan, designed by young artist Haowei Tang, welcomes tourists from all over the States.
